3rd Overall in World Championships
2 September, 2003

In the last two races of the World Championships, i decided to use the hydrofoils and won the first race by about a minute or two from Tim Steinlein from Germany.

In the second race, the wind lightened off a lot and i went from 1st on the second lap to 12th by the finish. i made a foolish mistake by heading out to the left side of the course on the last windward work and lost out big time.

So that means the Moth Worlds are over, and i finished 3rd overall.

As this was my first world championships, i am pretty happy with the result, but it has now made me keen as ever to win the next worlds in Melbourne in 2004/5 at Black Rock Yacht Club.

Final results and photos are available on the Moth web site...

Currently I am in Holland awaiting my plane that leaves Brussells on Thursday to Heathrow then to Singapore and finally Melbourne.

Can't wait to get home and have a good rest.
